Rebuilding our ability to connect with each other.

Updated: Nov 21

James here, founder and CEO of Loop.

A few months ago, after toughing it out for three grueling years, Loop was on the brink of shut down. Fortunately, that didn’t happen and I couldn’t be more excited about where we are today.

I wanted to share that to express my gratitude for the incredible relationships that have carried me through this journey so far. Loop wouldn’t be here without the unwavering support of our investors, advisors, team, and dear friends and family. They've been my rock through the ups and downs, fielding late-night panic texts, requests for marathon brainstorm sessions, and more over the years.

After leaving TikTok in 2019, I launched Loop out of deep concern for the impact of social media on our relationships and well-being. What’s been proven to shorten our attention spans, trigger insecurity, and fuel cultural divides has left our society grappling with unprecedented levels of disconnection and loneliness.

(That was a lot, so feel free to pause and take a deep breath!)

Loop isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution for today’s challenges. No single product can be. But our aim is to fill a crucial gap in addressing these serious human concerns.

We believe building meaningful relationships and connections–key to living openly, thriving, and being kinder to one another–starts with something personal and often overlooked: Confidence.

Whether it's mustering the courage for a tough conversation or going out and meeting someone new, Loop can help you cross the divide between wanting something and taking action, no matter the outcome.

In the last year, technology has empowered us to form a vision for Loop that's more ambitious than ever. But building something that's far-reaching and good for humans is no easy feat, so I'm asking for your help:

Sign up here to join our private beta, get access to the new app, and share your thoughts with us.

We are still in the early days, so your feedback will be incredibly valuable. We’d love to hear from you as often as possible.

There are several ways to keep in touch and share your thoughts. Reach out to me at jv@loop.co or join our Discord community to engage with our entire team and fellow members.

Take care, and I hope to chat with you soon,

James
